About FileNest

FileNest is a small workshop for PDFs and images. The promise is narrow on purpose: do the ordinary jobs quickly, tell people the limit before they start, and do not keep the file.

Some tools run entirely in the browser. Compression, encryption, and Word conversion run on the server with open-source programs — qpdf, Ghostscript, and Poppler — because those jobs are poor fits for a browser tab. Nothing is sent to a third-party conversion API.

The free tier is meant to be useful. Pro is for people who hit the cap often and want batch runs, a quieter page, and an API. See the difference.
